The joy of reading cannot be captured by words. It gives us the chance to travel to different worlds, to live another life, and to know that we aren't alone. Founded in the midst of the pandemic, the Kindred Mission seeks to ease the loneliness and social isolation of seniors in retirement homes. We hope to bring joy and comfort by providing seniors in retirement homes with a companion to read or chat with over tea (or coffee). In a world with crumbling social fellowship/kinship/unity/solidarity, the Kindred Mission aims to connect elderly with kindred in books and in the real world.
